The
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science And Technology, Kumasi held a matriculation
ceremony for first year students at the CCB Auditorium from the 3rd to the 5th
of October 2013. The ceremony was held to officially welcome all first year
students to the university.
The Colleges of Engineering,
Architecture and Planning, and Health Science were matriculated on the 3rd of October;
whereas the Colleges of Sciences, Art and Social Sciences, Agriculture and Natural
Resource were matriculated the next day 4th of October; and on Saturday 5th October,
matriculation held was for the Institute of Distant Learning.
The Vice Chancellor of the
University, Prof. W. O. Ellis, gave a ceremonial speech to the first year
students to welcome them into the University and wished hem all the best in
their 4 year stay in the University. “Some students came here to earn a degree,
others came to make friends so be careful who you call your friends”, he said.
He concluded his speech by saying, “I wish you all the best, and may your stay
on campus be a memorable and fruitful one, welcome once again to Kwame Nkrumah
University of Science and Technology.”
